Prayer is the oxygen of the church. Without prayer we will cease to exist because prayer is our communication with God: how we listen to him, search his heart and ask him for his good gifts. Our prayer life in the church should be part of every activity, especially including the home groups and any mission activity. However our specific prayer life is focussed in these areas:
- The daily prayer card and weeklet: for the daily devotions of everyone there is a prayer list of all the church people and those matters of immediate importance. The weeklet (the weekly leaflet given on a Sunday morning and also sent weekly by email) gives details of all these requests.
- The weekly Prayer Meeting is on Saturday morning at 9.15 in the Rackham Room. This is mainly intercessory prayer.
- Church services: although all services have intercessions we have a special focus on prayer at the 8.45 service which includes silence, extemporary prayer and liturgical prayer.
